Decorative Paper Organizer

I love home improvement and anytime a come across anything that deals with improving my home I print it out and save it for later.  The problem is that they are starting to pile up.  So to tackle my growing pile of idea clutter, I have the perfect solution, use the file crate sitting in the garage holding my leftover newspaper; which I was going to use in the garden.  Being thrifty, of course I used a lot of the items I had around the house and only spent $7 at Hobby Lobby buying gift wrapping paper and Elmer's glue.  Looking at the finished project, I love the look and can't believe I didn't do this earlier.  It will look great in the study once I finish updating it.

SUPPLIES:
  - Silver spray paint

  - Spray adhesive & glue
  - File crate
  - Decorative paper (I used rapping paper)
  - Hanging file folders
  - Handing file folder labels
  - Scrap cardboard

Spray Painted Silver

Added decorative panels with cardboard wrapped in gift paper.  They just pop in

Cut paper to size and attach with spray adhesive

Glue the inside seam down

Completed hanging folders.
Finished Project.

Discovering Chalkboard Paint

I have seen so many people post on projects that they have done with chalkboard paint and now I can add my name to the list.   I purchased a photo frame from the clearance section of hobby lobby for $2.  The class was missing but the frame was in great shape.  Using my 40% off coupon I swung by the paint section and picked up some chalkboard paint.  I did purchase some chalk there, $1.75 for a 12 count box but return them because at Wal-Mart the same box was $.89. And some white felt which I plan to make into an eraser.   I purchased a few other things for another project I will blog about later.   I hung it in the kitchen to use as a note board for me and my sister.  I like it.  I am thinking of doing another one for the study which I am slowly revamping.    Love it!!!
