SAINTS!!
Ok. I am not a football fan. I generally don't watch the game and if I do I have a book in hand or I stay for a quarter or two then leave. This year my family (who are football fanatics) challenged me to pick a team to support for the entire 2009-2010 season. I had to pick my team by August the 1st.
Well, if you know me you know I did a little research. I asked three coworkers who they thought was a good team, wonderful research really. Everyone picked the Cowboys as their 1st choice because there here in the DFW area. My reply was No way. No cowboys. So I went to the NFL website and just looked at the logos & mascots of the different teams. I know funny way to pick a team. Well, get ready . . . I picked the Saints! The deciding factor..... The Fleur-de-Lis.
When I told my sisters they laughed so hard they fell off the couch and onto the floor. I love the Fleur-de-lis and if you didn't know there are at lease 2-3 in every room in my house. So it just made since to me. Well, wouldn't you know it Necie, added to the challenge! Not only did I have to pick a team but I have to know the head coach, and 3 players. Two weeks ago she said she didn't think I was supporting my team enough. So I planned on blogging my love for the Fleur-de-lis… I mean the Saints. Who would have though I (a first time football fan) would have picked a good team! Well, I am with them all the way. GO SAINTS!!!
This is hilarious! But hey, what's wrong with picking a team to root for based on their pretty colors or cool logo? Works for me!
